Die Geschichte vom Radin

Radin ist acht Jahre alt. Am Morgen sitzt er am Computer. Er spielt ein Spiel.

Radin is eight years old. In the morning, he sits at the computer. He is playing a game.

Die Zeit geht schnell. Radin merkt das nicht.

Time goes by quickly. Radin doesn't notice.

Sein Papa ruft. Zuerst leise, dann laut.

His dad calls. First quietly, then loudly.

Papa sagt, Radin soll kommen. Das Essen ist fertig.

Dad says Radin should come. The food is ready.

Radin hört seinen Papa. Aber er will weiterspielen. Er ruft: „Ich komme gleich!“

Radin hears his dad. But he wants to keep playing. He calls out: “I'm coming soon!”

Radin ist acht Jahre alt. Am Morgen um neun Uhr sitzt er schon vor dem Computer. Er startet sein Videospiel und merkt nicht, wie die Zeit vergeht.

Sein Papa ruft ihn. Zuerst ruft er leise, dann immer lauter. Das Essen ist bald fertig, deshalb soll Radin kommen. Aber Radin will im Spiel weitermachen und ruft: „Warte, ich komme gleich!“

His dad calls him. First he calls quietly, then louder and louder. The food is almost ready, so Radin should come. But Radin wants to continue the game and shouts: “Wait, I'm coming right away!”

Der Papa ruft noch oft. Dann steht Radin endlich auf und geht zum Tisch. Er isst sehr schnell und schaut dabei nicht hoch. Sofort nach dem Essen geht er wieder zu seinem Spiel zurück.

The dad calls many more times. Then Radin finally gets up and goes to the table. He eats very quickly and doesn't look up. Immediately after eating, he goes back to his game.

Radin spielt viele Stunden lang, bis es draußen dunkel wird. Am Abend um neun Uhr sagt sein Papa: „Jetzt ist Schluss.“ „Du musst jetzt schlafen gehen.“ Radin macht das Spiel aus und geht in sein Bett.

Radin plays for many hours, until it gets dark outside. In the evening at nine o'clock, his dad says: “That's enough now.” “You have to go to sleep now.” Radin turns off the game and goes to his bed.

Aber Radin kann im Bett nicht ruhig sein. In seinem Kopf sind immer noch die Bilder aus dem Spiel. Er hört auch die Musik aus dem Spiel. Er kann nicht einschlafen und dreht sich im Bett hin und her.

But Radin can't be still in bed. The pictures from the game are still in his head. He also hears the music from the game. He can't fall asleep and tosses and turns in bed.

Im Bett fand er jedoch keine Ruhe. Die Bilder und die Musik aus dem Spiel gingen ihm nicht aus dem Kopf, und seine Gedanken sprangen unkontrolliert umher. Er wälzte sich unruhig hin und her und konnte einfach nicht einschlafen.

In bed, however, he found no rest. The images and music from the game wouldn't leave his head, and his thoughts jumped around uncontrollably. He tossed and turned restlessly and just couldn't fall asleep.
