Jonas hat am Samstag Geburtstag. Er wird 28 Jahre alt. Er will mit seinen Freunden Mira und Cem feiern.

Er schreibt ihnen eine Nachricht. „Kommt am Samstag um 19 Uhr zu mir.“

Mira antwortet: „Ich komme.“ Sie fragt: „Soll ich etwas mitbringen?“

Mira replies: “I’ll come.” She asks: “Should I bring something?”

Cem schreibt auch: „Ich komme auch. Brauchst du etwas?“

Cem also writes: “I’ll come too. Do you need anything?”

Am Samstag ist alles gut. Jonas kocht. Die Wohnung ist sauber.

On Saturday, everything is fine. Jonas is cooking. The apartment is clean.

Um 18:05 Uhr macht Jonas den Kühlschrank auf. Er will den Kuchen sehen.

At 6:05 p.m., Jonas opens the refrigerator. He wants to see the cake.

Aber da ist kein Kuchen. Jonas schaut auf seine Liste.

But there is no cake. Jonas looks at his list.

Auf der Liste steht: KUCHEN und KERZEN. Beides ist nicht da.

On the list it says: CAKE and CANDLES. Neither is there.

Am Samstag bereitet Jonas alles vor. Er hat gekocht und die Wohnung aufgeräumt. Die Getränke sind auch schon kalt.

Dann kann ich alles planen.“
